OK, Bag Monster is a moronic name, but Monster has become a catch-all phrase for "Hey, this will help you do something" This section will help you find the bags you're looking for (like you're really looking for them). Leaving everything blank will retrieve a list of all bags, however that may cause the page to load slowly.

Pelita Air Service

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Paul Mundy
Print or Image Color: Red and Gold
Background / Bag Color: Red and Pink
Pelita meets Garuda in this probably ripoff. The bottom of the bag says, 'unique air venture', which I guess it would be if you chunder.

Pengo and the Laundry Room Squelchers

Approximate Vintage: 2000
Received From: Joe Tunis
Background / Bag Color: White
This is a rare promotional item from the CD 'Miami Made a Mess Out of Me'. This CD is part of a limited edition of 100 and the air sickness bag is #50 out of 100 (see bottom of bag).

"A bombastic and over the top two band jam session played live over the radio. It's as if the bands were channeling all the bad voo doo in the Miami Beach area and shooting it out over the nights sky (ala Radio Cuba) and into some poor bastard's boombox in Little Havana and back again. A document of frequency modulation annihilation".

People's Viennaline

Approximate Vintage: 2016
Received From: Stefan Eiselin
Print or Image Color: Blue, Gray
Background / Bag Color: White
A cool bag from an Austrian airline having a fleet of 3 planes. The bag has a picture of a plane with the following text: "Auch schlechte Zeiten gehen vorbei. Merh Zeit Fur Sie. Mit Sicherheit." In English this means "Even this bad flight will end" or something like that.

PeoplExpress

Approximate Vintage: 1982
Received From: Robert Masumura
Print or Image Color: Brown
Background / Bag Color: Tan
One of the first discount airlines, now defunct. Check out either 2 faces or 2 silly straws on the front of this bag.

Personalized Stag Party Bag

Approximate Vintage: 2008
Received From: Kate Knight
Print or Image Color: Red, Black
Background / Bag Color: White
Another excellent novelty bag. There seems to be a surfeit of Stag Party bags from the United Kingdom, must be a cultural thing. Each Personalized Stag Party gift set comes with all sorts of stupid stuff with your name printed on it, plus this bag which is generic in the sense that it isn't personalized.

The bag is pretty interesting because it has pictograms of how to and how not to throw up, next to the instruction: "If you're gonna chuck up upse this bag!"

Peruvian Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2014
Received From: Janusz Tichoniuk
Print or Image Color: Red, yellow
Background / Bag Color: White Plastic
Excellent Inca-inspired bird with complementary Peruvian font.

Petroleum Air Services

Received From: Sarah Helmich
Print or Image Color: Black and Gold
Background / Bag Color: White and Navy
This is possibly the most beautiful, well constructed bag ever to come from Egypt. The shiny gold wings on an oil well logo is an all around winner.

Philippine Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1982
Received From: Joerg Uhlemann
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
An amazing tapestry graces the front of this bag that looks somewhat Indian, somewhat snowflake, given its symmetry. The logo shows a really poorly drawn transistor. The back of the bag contains the word Himpapawid, which I believe is the Philippine word for "pinhead".

Philippine Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1991
Received From: Ben Burgess
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
On the back, the first word is 'GAMIT', which when I was in school was the name of the organization, "Gays at MIT". The other thing to notice about this bag is that Filipino apparently has no word for "Metal", which answers the riddle as to how Ferdinand Marcos could take over and persecute the Filipino people for so long.

Philippine Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1995
Received From: Rick Barry
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue
This is a pleasing Carribbean water shade of blue.

Philippine Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2001
Received From: Nicodemus Tan
Print or Image Color: Blue and White
Background / Bag Color: White and Blue
Philippine decided to go for reverse video on its bag, prefering the bag to be primarily white.

Philippine Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Jill Bong
Print or Image Color: Navy & Purple
Background / Bag Color: Navy & White
It always fascinates me when a foreign bag is printed in English only.

Philippine Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Nicodemus Tan
Print or Image Color: Navy & White
Background / Bag Color: Navy & White
If the cursive font used on this bag wasn't enough to convince you someone has scribbled on it, the stylized leaf drawing, which looks like scribbling, will. Interesting Tron-like early 80's computer font at the top of the bag. And although the bag says "Tranquil Traveler", it's really more for the distressed or agitated one.

Philippine Airlines (PAL)

Received From: Robert Masumura
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
Excellent older bag that shows that Filipino apparently has no word for 'metal'. This bag is apparently your PAL!

Philippine Airlines (PAL)

Approximate Vintage: 1975
Received From: Andrew Angel
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
Excellent older bag that shows that Filipino apparently has no word for 'metal'. This bag is apparently your PAL!

This is very similar to the other PAL bag except the font is somewhat different and on the back it says "A SILMAN PRODUCT, Pasig, Rizal". Pasig is one of the major cities in the province of Rizal, Philippines.

Philippine Fast Ferry

Received From: Robert Masumura
Print or Image Color: Blue, White
Background / Bag Color: White, Blue, Black
"Help Save Our Environment" blares this black plastic bag. I'm not exactly sure how barfing saves the environment, but OK!

Phuket Air

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Sebastian Weikert
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Feeling nausea? Stomach in an uproar? That's OK, it's time for you to Save The World by puking!

This unfortunately named Thai Airline [why didn't they call the airline skrewit?] shows a happy face that I guess is supposed to be from the ground crew who won't have to clean up your spew.

This bag draws many design elements from other bags. It has a better smiley face than the mutant one of TUI. The palm tree is swiped from the earlier ATA version. And the pictograms on the back look a lot like South African Airlines' bag. A winner all around.

PIA

Received From: Burkhard Walther
Print or Image Color: White and Gold
Background / Bag Color: Olive
Bold olive is the theme of this bag. If you look at the scan of the bottom, you can see how poorly constructed this bag is, at least aesthetically.n
