OK, Bag Monster is a moronic name, but Monster has become a catch-all phrase for "Hey, this will help you do something" This section will help you find the bags you're looking for (like you're really looking for them). Leaving everything blank will retrieve a list of all bags, however that may cause the page to load slowly.

Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX)

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Martin Schütze
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Yellow and White
Vielen Dank für Ihre Kritik means 'Thank you for your criticism'. Whoever wrote these words must have been sending subliminal messages to my mother for many years.

Yellow describes this bag. Just like everything in Texas, this bag is big and yellow.

Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX)

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Oliver Conradi
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Yellow and White
If I read this correctly, you can fly HLX for as little as 19.99 Euros as long as you don't Übel (Nicht Übel). But beware the asterisk which remains unexplained.

Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX)

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Gerd Clemens
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Yellow and White
Ganz Easy Hier Ryan! HLX has cornered the market on the Taxi company identity. The bag even says to 'Break with the competition and fly at taxi prices'. Vomit stud Janik Moritz says the translation is "Quite nice here, Ryan." (hlx and ryanair were rivals in the past)

Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX)

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Gerd Clemens
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Yellow and White
HLX has cornered the market on the Taxi company identity. If my German is correct, this bag says to 'Treat your fur better' (Das sollten Sie besser für sich behalten). Barf expert Janik Moritz counters that it really means "It is better to keep it to yourself."

Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX)

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Paul Mundy
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Yellow and White
HLX changes the bottom of the bag for no apparent reason. If my German is correct, Hier Rhein 'Here's what you want'. However barf aficionado Janik Moritz say it means "in here"

Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX)

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Paul Mundy
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Yellow and White
HLX admonishes you to "Übergeben ist seliger als Nehmen" which barf specialist Janik Moritz translates to "It is more blessed to give than to receive"

Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX)

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Anke Bullendorf
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Yellow and White
HLX adds a Happy Hour to their flight with the admonition "Alles muss raus", which I think means "Everyone make a mess quickly". However Janik Moritz says it really means "Everything must go"

Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX)

Approximate Vintage: 2006
Received From: Thorsten Hecht
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Yellow and White
HLX finally changes the bottom of this bag for no apparent reason. The German says, "Da wird der Konkurrenz schwindlig." or "This is where the conquerer gets dizzy." Barf fan Janik Moritz says it actually means "This is where the rivals get dizzy"

Hapag-Lloyd Flug

Received From: Richard David Glueck
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Hapag-Lloyd's earlier entry when it was just Flug (air service).

Has acs and all sorts of addresses in the gusset

Hapag-Lloyd TUI

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Oliver Conradi
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Hapag-Lloyd decided brand recognition of the mutant smiley face was so ubiquitous, they could drop their name. This bag is the 'World of TUI' bag, whatever that is.

Harbour Lights Collectors Reunion

Approximate Vintage: 1998
Received From: Michael Power
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
According to Karen, "...the barf bags are from the Annual 1998 Harbour Lights Collectors Reunion in Providence, Rhode Island. They were given out to the group for a cruise we took the second morning of the reunion."

Harvey Kurtzman's HELP!

Approximate Vintage: 1960
Received From: Jerry Sinclair
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
In November 1960, Harvey Kurtzman's humor magazine called "Help!" decided to add the text "In case of emergency while reading" with an arrow pointing to this air sickness bag. I believe this magazine was the predecessor of MAD Magazine.

Haunted Garage

Approximate Vintage: 1991
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Haunted Garage is a horror punk/heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California formed in 1985. This up-chuck sack was used to promote their 1991 album "Possession Park"

Hawaiian Air

Approximate Vintage: 2000
Received From: Tim Lemmon
Print or Image Color: Purple
Background / Bag Color: White
I think I have the dates out of order because this looks a lot like the 2008 bag, sans Patent Number, but nothing like the bag I listed as the 2001 bag.

Hawaiian Air

Approximate Vintage: 2001
Received From: Alan Radecki
Background / Bag Color: Purple
Can you say purple? A bag only Barney the Dinosaur and an Air Sickness Bag Collector could love. According to Alan, these bags are getting phased out in favor of the venal plain white ones. Why? Are Hawaiian Air execs moronic?

Hawaiian Air

Approximate Vintage: 2008
Received From: Kelley Heide
Print or Image Color: Purple
Background / Bag Color: White
Well they've updated the bag, and thankfully, it's not plain white as feared. In fact, though they put the name of the airline on the bottom of the bag, they place the patent number right on the front in case you had evil thoughts of making a fortune stealing their bag construction design.

Hawaiian Air

Approximate Vintage: 2014
Received From: Agatha Tauber
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White Plastic
It seems like Hawaiian copies Southwest and uses LK Plastics to source their all-plastic barf bags. Only Hawaiian is branded and Southwest isn't.

Hawaiian Air

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Rainer Schwartz
Print or Image Color: Purple
Background / Bag Color: White Plastic
Yet again Hawaiian rearranges instructions, carrier name, color, patent number and manufacturer's logo.

Hawaiian Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2013
Received From: Faith Quintero
Print or Image Color: Purple
Background / Bag Color: White Plastic
Nothing really new from Hawaiian. All the elements from past bags are on this one (with the exception of the patent number) but they've rearranged the bag and got rid of the flat base.

Headless

Approximate Vintage: 2014
Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
This bag is a promotional item from the 2014 horror movie Headless.
