This bag is of unknown vintage. Siam changed its name to Thailand in 1939, but I don't suspect this bag is that old. One cool thing about the bag is the ornate draperies decorating the bag's top.

What an exquisite design job they did on this bag. It's actually quite beautiful, even if it does look like it's covered in pizzas with a roach on each slice. This is a bag design that truly 'works'. (PS: It's made in Bratislava, where the Wild and Crazy guys, Jorge and Yortuk are supposedly from).

This is a fairly generic bag that doesn't say Tahiti anywhere on it. In fact, all it has is some French on the bottom telling you it is meant to dispose of chewing gum and others. However, the real clue is the Tahitian word "Mauruuru" meaning "Thank You".

This version has the same Lisa Simpson-like star logo, but the new manufacturer seems to think that the two French words "pour le" (for the) is one word, "pourle".

In 2011, in order to bolster a beleaguered economy, the US imposed new taxes on the airline industry. In order to protest this, the Air Transport Association came out with barf bags that say "Sick of Taxes?" Stop new airline taxes from driving up costs and reducing service. Add Taxes. Ground the economy.

The one thing I don't really get is that they printed a big QR code on the bag and then obscured it with a tiny cartoon airplane, maybe for design reasons.

Quite a beautiful bag, acutally. A single, gently curved line gives the impression of a tailfin. Plus the use of bold purple and green is rare amongst bag designers. On the inseam, it says, "Printed in Bulgaria". From now on, I'm sending all my printing to Bulgaria.

If you step back and defocus your eyes, the logo looks something like a 2 person water slide. The designation of what this bag is for (air sickness, spuckbeutel etc) is found only within the bag's folds.

Oh my God! What a beautiful bag and an amazing find that harkens back to a simpler time. Clearly an old bag, crafted in the old world wire coat hanger style. A lot of airlines try fancy ways of turning their logos into an airplane, but this bag succeeds -- and simply at that.

This bag features Air Vietnam's "plane as a coat hanger" logo. There are instructions on the back which teach me that Cach Dung means To Dispose, an oddly fitting translation.
