As a collector of Air Sickness Bags. I am interested in obtaining new specimens. If you happen to encounter any kind of sickness bag, would you kindly send me one (unless it's plain white)? Here's the "corporate" address:

Steve Silberberg
9 Third St.
Hull, MA 02045
USA

Actually, airlines change their bags every few years, so if you ever notice a change, please snatch that bag and send it to me! I would be very grateful for any help you might provide. Many thanks in advance.

What a collector-friendly bag this one is. It's exactly the same as the 2001 offering, except the bottom now says, "Thailand 5-2003". It's signed and dated!

Travel Service

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Received From: Christian Annyas

Very similar to its previous offering, except that the 'Service' part of Travel Service has migrated to the left a few letters. Why? Who can tell?

Tunis Air

Approximate Vintage: 2001
Received From: Frederic Lamarche
Print or Image Color: Gray
Background / Bag Color: White
The animal on this bag is very reminiscent of the animal on the Qatar bag, in that it is made up of speeding lines. Stars in the fold.

Turkish Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1989
Received From: Herb Schingoethe
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: Blue and White
Very much like the 1990 version except the printed matter is much higher up on the bag, allowing white to show through at the bottom.

Turkish Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1990
Received From: Christoph Vogel

Kind of cool how they tranformed the Turkish Crescent into a flying Turkish Crescent.

United

Approximate Vintage: 1984
Received From: Robert Masumura
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue
The instructions are identical to the 1982 and 1983 bags, but for some reason, the instructions now take up 4 lines instead of 5. Has Kard-O-Pak bottom which displays the patent number unlike earlier version which only say Patented.

United

Approximate Vintage: 1991
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Gray
Plain, plain, plain.

United

Approximate Vintage: 1993
Print or Image Color: White

Same old bag, however, this bag says it's made out of recycled paper.

United

Approximate Vintage: 1999
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Gray
Still the same, however they changed the closing mechanism and inexplicably removed the instructions for use. Happily, however, the United bag says it's made of recycled paper.

United

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Navy
It's a very darkly colored generic as far as I can tell, even though my scanner somehow lightened it with some auto-balancing that I couldn't turn off.

USAir

Received From: Debbie Fein

Background / Bag Color: Red
Both sides red, bottom White.

Generic looking. Bag seems to indicate that after you throw up, you disappear!

Varig

Received From: Thomas Blickle
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White Plastic
When you are finished throwing up in this bag, hand it to the Stewardess. Do NOT hand it to a man! Made by Plasticogeral (you can kind of see this if you look at the printing inside the translucent bag.)

Varig

Received From: Steve Thompson
Print or Image Color: Light Blue
Background / Bag Color: White Plastic
Yet another Varig style. This one with the cursive writing, like their Rio-Sul subsidiary.

Varig

Print or Image Color: Black and Blue

Hey, a South American carrier switched from all plastic to waxed paper! The bag has many instructions in Portugese including, 'Com O Grampo', which I think means 'give bag to your grandfather'. FLASH: Angry Portugeuse have flooded my mailbox claiming that Com O Grampo means 'with a tab', although Eva, a Brazilian waitress at Bertucci's claims that it means you're pregnant.
