As a collector of Air Sickness Bags. I am interested in obtaining new specimens. If you happen to encounter any kind of sickness bag, would you kindly send me one (unless it's plain white)? Here's the "corporate" address:

Steve Silberberg
9 Third St.
Hull, MA 02045
USA

Actually, airlines change their bags every few years, so if you ever notice a change, please snatch that bag and send it to me! I would be very grateful for any help you might provide. Many thanks in advance.

Cathay Pacific

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Gerhard Lang
Print or Image Color: Green and White
Background / Bag Color: Light Gray
Cathay replaces the tear tab with a tear strip. Not sure why. Perhaps they're easier to stack that way?

China Airlines

Received From: Sean Chou
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: Teal
This version, whose reverse side is printed upside-down, has the not-so-ubiquitous recycle symbol.

China Airlines

Received From: Steve Thompson
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: Teal
China Airlines finally gets the front and back to both be printed right side up.

China Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Thomas Grütter
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Yes, side 2 is actually upside-down. This may cause confusion at the wrong moment, which could result in a hazardous spill. By the way, the donor is Swiss, who I find to be the most generous people when it comes to barf bags, as he just sent it completely unsolicited. Thanks Thomas!

China Eastern

Approximate Vintage: 1998
Received From: Raymond Mui
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Home of the deformed Chinese flying star

China Eastern

Approximate Vintage: 2001
Received From: L. Jay Labe
Print or Image Color: Blue and Red
Background / Bag Color: White
China Eastern displays its obvious bias towards right handed people because it would be difficult for a left handed person to tear off the strip using the instructions on the bag.

China Eastern

Approximate Vintage: 2006
Received From: Donna Albino
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Purple
China Eastern's playful stubby airplane evolves into a more mature stubby airplane. Identical to other 2006 bag except there's no block printed on the back.

Continental

Approximate Vintage: 1985
Print or Image Color: Blue and Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Apparently landscape is more desirable than portrait

Continental

Approximate Vintage: 1986
Print or Image Color: Black and Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Wow, Change the colors again. Now black instead of blue.

Continental

Approximate Vintage: 1994
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue
New Logo after bankruptcy! Wire closures.

Continental

Approximate Vintage: 1999
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue
Some mischevious logo thieves must have tried to improperly use the Continental Logo, so they added the registerd trademark symbol to the bag. Plus they booted the wire closing mechanism.

Continental

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Received From: Matt Cohen
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue
Identical to 2001 bag with the octagonal spirograph-type symbol in the gusset. However, the dotted line has become more granular. Many more dashes comprise this line now.

Continental

Approximate Vintage: 2007
Received From: Bill McClory
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue
Identical to 2004 bag with the octagonal spirograph-type symbol in the gusset. However, Continental is now a member of the Sky Team, although Sky Team sounds like a band of super-heroes to me.

Corsair

Approximate Vintage: 1997
Received From: Wolfgang Franken
Print or Image Color: Green and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
A plane doing a barrel roll over the mountains.

Croatia Airlines

Print or Image Color: Blue and Red
Background / Bag Color: White
I don't know why, but the Croats have both left justified and right justified bags. Perhaps this one is for lefties?

Crossair

Approximate Vintage: 1985
Received From: Albert Oosenbrug
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Red
Very simple bag.

Crossair

Approximate Vintage: 1999
Received From: Mickael Fillion
Background / Bag Color: Blue
The Swiss are at it again! Their logo transmogrified into some odd looking progression, reminiscent of an abstract way of depicting a Fibonnaci sequence. Nice bag though.

CSA (Czech Airlines)

Approximate Vintage: 1998
Received From: Renata Kuchinsky
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
The logo looks like naval flags, but are probably intended to look like ailerons (whatever those might be). Here, CSA does NOT mean community supported agriculture.

CSA (Czech Airlines)

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Petr Manda
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
The Czech Republic is becoming more and more capitalist, as is reflected by this bag. The logo is much bigger -- a sure sign that capitalism has set in. They also moved it lower on the bag, but alas, it's still crappy.

CSA (Czech Airlines)

Approximate Vintage: 2008
Received From: Gerhard Lang
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Czech Airlines joins the SkyTeam (which probably means they'll go out of business or be bailed out by the already broke USA government.)
