OK, Bag Monster is a moronic name, but Monster has become a catch-all phrase for "Hey, this will help you do something" This section will help you find the bags you're looking for (like you're really looking for them). Leaving everything blank will retrieve a list of all bags, however that may cause the page to load slowly.

Generic German Seasickness

Received From: Christoph Vogel
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Christoph claims this is a sea-sickness bag, but provides no other information about it. Sea Sickness fan, Andrea Steubesand concurs. She says, 'I think that I have seen such bags when I went on one of those little German north sea ferries to the island "Juist" in the early eighties. Ferries go from the port of Norden to the port of Juist.'

Generic German Seasickness

Received From: Herb Schingoethe
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Exactly like other Generic German Seasickness Bag, except this has a Kard-O-Seal bottom.

Generic Plastic Instrucciones

Received From: Wolfgang Lüthje
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
I sort of dislike this bag because it is so damn generic with very little to distinguish it from any other bag. But I guess that's the goal of a generic bag.

Generic Red Seasickness Bag

Received From: Wolfgang Lüthje
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
I really like the script writing on this bag in 3 languages: German, Norwegian and English
Fur Seekrankheit
For Sjos juka
For Seasickness

Generic Red Stamp

Approximate Vintage: 1991
Received From: Kim Decker
Print or Image Color: Red, Green
Background / Bag Color: White
The only reason I know this is from 1991 is because someone who lifted it from the plane wrote the date on it. The red stamp has German, French and English on it and the bag is an ELAG product.

Generic Sea Sickness Bag

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Received From: D Austin
Print or Image Color: Blue and Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Supposedly, this bag was swiped from a ferry between Spain and Morocco. Cumbersome directions grace this beauty.

Generic Tyvek

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Received From: Rune Tapper
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: White
This Air Sickness and Cabin Tidy Bag is fairly unremarkable except for the sage advice that exhorts you to supervise children when using this bag (as if you can pay attention to anything else while you're using the bag).

Georgian Airways

Approximate Vintage: 2010
Received From: Vidas Vekerotas
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Great crisp looking bag made of vinyl or something like that. The logo looks like a Palm Tree, though you'd be hard pressed to find a palm tree in Georgia.

Germania

Received From: Sam Green
Print or Image Color: Forest/Lime Green
Background / Bag Color: White
Blocky trapezoidal logo. The dot over the 'i' seems to indicate that consumer reports rates this airline as Very Good.

Germania

Approximate Vintage: 2000
Received From: David Zekria
Print or Image Color: Forest/Lime Green
Background / Bag Color: White
Tasteful, italicized bag with stars on the inseam.

Germanwings

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Yellow
Background / Bag Color: Purple
Cool purple bag with understated company name.

Germanwings

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Paul Mundy
Print or Image Color: Yellow
Background / Bag Color: Purple
According to Paul Mundy's excellent web site, "Zur Erinnerung an alle Sammler: Tüte nur leer ins Album kleben!" translates into English as: "Reminder to all collectors: Stick only empty bags in the album!". Pretty cool that Germanwings understand the collector base and is doing their job to make our job more interesting. Hopefully, more good bags will be on they way from them.

Germanwings

Approximate Vintage: 2007
Received From: Thorsten Hecht
Print or Image Color: Yellow
Background / Bag Color: Purple
This bag says "War doch nur ein kleines Luftloch!" which I think means "War is like a small vent", but I'm not sure.

Germanwings

Approximate Vintage: 2009
Received From: Oliver Conradi
Print or Image Color: White, Yellow, Purple
Background / Bag Color: Yellow, Purple
A great bag from Germanwings. On one side, it's a chart. The top of the chart says, "Prices of the competition". Halfway down: Turbulence. And at the Bottom: Small Air Hole (probably not an accurate translation).

The other side says, "Want to check out her stomach? Here is the emergency exit." Again, probably not the most accurate translation.

Germanwings

Approximate Vintage: 2013
Received From: Rainer Schwartz
Print or Image Color: Purple, Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
Germanwings finally gets fed up with their enormous bill for purple ink and now just prints some legacy purple on a white bag.

Germanwings

Approximate Vintage: 2013
Received From: Rainer Schwartz
Print or Image Color: Purple, Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
Germanwings finally gets fed up with their enormous bill for purple ink and now just prints some legacy purple on a white bag.

The bag even has a sense of humor. One one side it says "Don't Worry, we don't take it personally" and on the other side, "Sometimes you have to listen to your gut feeling."

Germanwings

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Rainer Schwartz
Print or Image Color: Purple, Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
Germanwings amalgamates the two different 2013 era bags by keeping the design of one (and ignoring the mutant purple/orange wavy strips) but getting rid of the text. See for yourself.

Germanwings Special Fake

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Alan Howlett
Print or Image Color: Yellow
Background / Bag Color: Purple
According to esteemed collector Alan Howlett: "In todays edition (September 26, 2005) of the Stuttgarter Zeitung, a regional German newspaper, Germanwings presented unsuspecting readers with a special sickbag as a publicity stunt. The bag is of the same size and quality of the regular bag and the front face features a map of all Germanwings connections from Stuttgart, the back face features a map of the Cannstatter Wasen (the location of the beer fest) and its attractions, which started in Stuttgart on Saturday and will run for another two weeks.

GG Allin

Approximate Vintage: 1993
Received From: Scott Cunningham
Print or Image Color: Black, Red
Background / Bag Color: White
This is a rare find I purchased on eBay. It seems that in the mid-90s, a movie theater in Lodi, OH printed up special bags for several horror flicks under the umbrella name of Midnight Cinema

This particular bag features GG Allin, a singer and songwriter whose act featured all kinds of depraved acts that you can read about on the Internet. If anyone is truly deserving of (and might even appreciate) a barf bag, he is it.

The bag says:
GG ALLIN
1956-1993
VOMIT BAG

Ghana Airways

Approximate Vintage: 2000
Received From: Paul Mundy
Print or Image Color: Yellow and Black
Background / Bag Color: White
A guy I once knew named Steve Barchus used to work for Yellow Truck Lines and said they used the color because it shows up so well at night. That's the only reason I can possibly come up with why Ghana Airways decided on the color.
