Finnaviation

Received From: Christoph Vogel
Print or Image Color: Blue and White
Background / Bag Color: White and Blue
An all-time favorite. An illustration of a reindeer spewing cubism chunks. This is different than the 1996 model because on the lower part of the back side (which I've actually called the bottom for purposes of saving disk space and your time) has the number 118 printed on it.

Finnish Railways

Received From: Oliver Conradi
Print or Image Color: Green
Background / Bag Color: White Plastic
This might actually be just a trash bag ... who knows? But I figured I'd include it just in case. I really like the word Luonnollisesti (which translates to "naturally")

It also says VR, which can't possibly mean "virtual reality" or can it?

FLASH! Finnish Superstud, Emmi Blad confirms that this is indeed just a trash bag, so I have collected this for no reason at all :-(. Furthermore, Emmi says that VR stands for Valtion Rautatiet - translating to "states railways".

First Choice

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Received From: Andy Rudge
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: White and Blue
What a great bag. It says, "Unexpected Departure? Don't worry, we'll look after you." Finally, an airline that cares deeply about your vomit! And what kind of name is First Choice Airways? It sounds like either a brand of dog food or a microwaveable dinner.

First Ferry

Approximate Vintage: 2001
Received From: Roman Iwanczuk
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: Green
No other bag is quite like this one. It's actually quite transparent when held up to the light, but it's a really awful green color. Plastic and shiny with a gripper zipper, it's exactly what you might hope to reach for when you're going from Hong Kong to Lantau Island.

First Ferry

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Christian Annyas
Print or Image Color: Black and Purple
Background / Bag Color: White
One of the few bags that actually say 'Vomit Bag' on it, instead of a more delicate euphemism. I just love the black and purple!

Fischer Air

Approximate Vintage: 2000
Received From: Alexei Sheshenya
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White and Blue
While the bag is pretty standard, who in their right mind would abbreviate Falcon Air as "Fair"? What next, CH/Air? H/Air?

Fischer Air

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Garnier Fabrice
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White and Blue
Identical to other Fischer Air bag except this one has a smaller logo, yet inexplicably, the same capacity of the other one. It's an optical illusion!

Flug Service Berlin

Received From: Richard David Glueck
Print or Image Color: Green and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Identical to other Flug Service Berlin bag except the logo has an eighth note in it, a scaled down version of the blob used subsequently.

Flugfelag Islands

David McNamara says: I speak Norwegian, and Icelandic is just about readable. The text on the bag translates literally as "Be so kind as to leave the bag on the floor after use". I can't offer any ideas regarding the source of the bag but, if it is an airline barf bag, there can't be all that many Icelandic airlines. Astute Icelandic expert Helga KG translates the text as "Please put the bag on the floor after use"

Collector Thomas Homer Goetz claims it's from Flugfelag Islands as does Capt. Hilmar Snorrason from Reykjavik, Iceland, which is good enough for me!

Flugfelag Islands

Identical to other Flugfelag Islands bag, except the bottom indicates this was manufactured by ELAG.

Fly Niki (Niki Lauda)

Approximate Vintage: 2006
Received From: Oliver Conradi
Print or Image Color: Black

I LOVE the cool housefly on this bag. The only bag I've ever seen with one on it. However, I have no idea what a Speibsackerl is.

Vomit Pundit, Paul Hager to the rescue! He explains that "Speibsackerl is the colloquial expression for Sickbag in Austria!"

Although they kept the artsy font, they removed the cool insect from the bag.

Flying Colours

Approximate Vintage: 1999
Received From: Nick Coates
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Has an abstract looking venn diagram. The bag says it may contain Bio-Hazardous waste, so make sure to drive in the Hazardous Cargo lane if you bring this home with you. According to Nick, Flying Colours is a UK charter airline shortly to become part of a new company JMC.

Same as other Flying Colours, except does NOT have a closing tab mechanism.

FMI Air

Approximate Vintage: 2018
Received From: Wolfgang Lüthje
Print or Image Color: White, Blue, Gray
Background / Bag Color: Blue, White
This bag is from a Malaysian carrier that was only in business between 2012-2018 with a fleet for 4 planes, so the bag is probably pretty rare.

Food Standards Agency (UK)

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Rusty Odihiri
Print or Image Color: Black and Green
Background / Bag Color: White
In order to combat food poisoning in the UK, an independent governmental group called the 'Food Standards Agency' felt an Air Sickness Bag would serve their purpose of spreading the word about food contamination. The bag suggests that if you're not careful, food will spoil, make you sick, and throw up. How does the bag suggest you avoid such problems? Just 4 simple steps:
  1. Wash Your Hands
  2. Open Your Refrigerator
  3. Light a match
  4. Wait For Snow
Sounds so very simple, doesn't it?

For Your Convenience

Received From: Paul S Boyer
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: White
A Yakbag afficionado e-mailed me and said: I'm thinking "unknown one" is Aero Mexico, 70's vintage, since my ex-girlfriend brought me one once as a joke. Looked at lot like that one.

I'm listing it as a generic, however.

Ford F-150 Raptor

Approximate Vintage: 2008
Received From: Bruce Kelly
I have no idea what Ford was thinking when it created this bag for the F-150 or the occasion upon which they produced it for. However, the front says the following (there's a checklist):

F-150 Raptor SVT GUTCHECK!

  • OFF-ROAD WARRIOR
  • PALE & SWEATY
  • SHAKING & MUMBLING
  • BLEW CHUNKS
  • RESTRICTED TO PAVEMENT
