As a collector of Air Sickness Bags. I am interested in obtaining new specimens. If you happen to encounter any kind of sickness bag, would you kindly send me one (unless it's plain white)? Here's the "corporate" address:

Steve Silberberg
9 Third St.
Hull, MA 02045
USA

Actually, airlines change their bags every few years, so if you ever notice a change, please snatch that bag and send it to me! I would be very grateful for any help you might provide. Many thanks in advance.

Balkan

Received From: Bob Turner
Print or Image Color: Red, Blue, Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
This bag SCREAMS "Soviet Bloc". Has Cyrillic writing with a flying Communist star. If you feel inside the bag, it sure doesn't seem very water resistant. Identical to other bag except the color scheme here is a Soviet star on a Red field and Navy print instead of vice-versa.

British Airways

Received From: Kevin Irvine
Print or Image Color: Navy, White
Background / Bag Color: White, Navy
British Airways' first attempt at a Barf Bag after changing over from BOAC is unremarkable

Aer Lingus

Approximate Vintage: 1994
Received From: Nancy Iappini

Aeromexico

Received From: Christopher Wren
Print or Image Color: Blue and Silver
Background / Bag Color: White
Mayan Eagle Headdress displayed. A stoic character who probably doesn't throw up much. Identified by Ben Guttery as Aeromexico. He says, "UNKNOWN 9 is Aeromexico. It was also used by all their smaller airlines that they also own. That is their logo at the bottom -- the man's head. It is some kind of mythic creature. Check out their web site to see for yourself.

Aerolineas Argentinas

Approximate Vintage: 2012
Received From: Ed Sluimer
Print or Image Color: Blue, Gray
Background / Bag Color: White
Fairly plain bag that downsizes the previously huge logo.

Aeromexico

Received From: Andrew Angel
Print or Image Color: Blue and Silver
Background / Bag Color: White
Mayan Eagle Headdress displayed. A stoic character who probably doesn't throw up much. Identified by former collector Ben Guttery as Aeromexico. He says, "It was also used by all their smaller airlines that they also own. That is their logo at the bottom -- the man's head. It is some kind of mythic creature. Check out their web site to see for yourself.

Identical to other similar AeroMexico except the tear strip is tan, not white.

Yeti Airways

Approximate Vintage: 2011
Received From: Ray Brunsberg
Print or Image Color: Green, Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
I LOVE the logo which sports a big foot (as well as confusing DNA strands). The famous barfing lady from Buddha Air appears on the back. Soon she'll be more popular than the IEEE lady.

This bag is the similar to the previous versions except the text has changed. Now the bag is for vomiting only, not for spitting or peels like the previous version says.

Aeroflot

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Laszlo Szabo
Print or Image Color: White, Navy
Background / Bag Color: Orange
Almost identical to the 2009 version, but the logo is much smaller as is the Skyteam logo, plus the harsh orange bag is now much more peach colored.

Vim Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2014
Received From: Federico Mandrile
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
The word Vim looks like a squiggle, which I assume is intentional. Apparently they are owned by the exercise shoe Avia since their website is vim-avia.com.

Shenzhen Ferry

Approximate Vintage: 2014
Received From: Peter Brown
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: White, Navy
This bag shows a one-armed person throwing out what is ostensibly a fully used bag. This bag actually has the word Seasickness on it, which is a little unusual.

The bag is almost identical to the 2008 bag except it's a much darker color, plus the solid blue vertical line on the left side of the bag has been eliminated.

SAS

Received From: Mike Roselle
Print or Image Color: Gray
Background / Bag Color: Gray and White
Beautiful in its simplicity.

South African Airways

Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Blue and Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
Auburn University colored bag misses golden opportunity to display a picture in a picture in a picture out to infinity as an SAA bag is pictured right on the bag. This is the only bag I'm aware of that has instructions in Hebrew, save for the Israeli airline El Al.

Sun Country Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2000
Received From: Deb Nestel
Print or Image Color: Red and White
Background / Bag Color: White and Red
Very nice bag, but not as nice as the teal bag of yore. Passenger shown has way too much leg room.

United

Approximate Vintage: 1982
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue
WITHOUT Kard-O-Pak. This was my first bag

United

Approximate Vintage: 1983
Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue
WITH Kard-O-Pak. The bottom only says Patented. Subsequent version mention the patent number.

Vietnam Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2008
Received From: Yinghao Chen
Print or Image Color: Navy, White
Background / Bag Color: Navy, White
If the pictographs on this bag are to scale, Vietnam Airlines provides waist high trash cans for passengers to use on board.

Sealink British Ferries

Received From: Peter Brown
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
This is the only Sealink bag I have that says "British" on it. It also has a weird logo: Either it's an Omega or it shows the indirect route their ferries go to reach their destinations.

Northwest (Cabin Attendant)

Approximate Vintage: 1986
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Navy
Same as previous Northwest Orient Bags, but missing logo. This bag says "Cabin Attendant", which was quickly changed to "Flight Attendant" in subsequent bags.

By the way, vomit aficionado Neal Henderson says that the dark color of the bag is a cost saving device so that people don't use the bag for scratch paper. Pointy Bottom.

Turkish Airlines (kestroair.com)

Approximate Vintage: 2012
Received From: Wolfgang Franken
Print or Image Color: Blue, Black, Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Now a member of Star Alliance, the Turks change their bag. In the fold of this bag (the part you can't see) it says the manufacturer Kestro can be found at kestroair.com).

Cathay Pacific

It's so lightly colored, subtle and understated, it doesn't even seem like you threw up. Nice swirlies.
