As a collector of Air Sickness Bags. I am interested in obtaining new specimens. If you happen to encounter any kind of sickness bag, would you kindly send me one (unless it's plain white)? Here's the "corporate" address:

Steve Silberberg
9 Third St.
Hull, MA 02045
USA

Actually, airlines change their bags every few years, so if you ever notice a change, please snatch that bag and send it to me! I would be very grateful for any help you might provide. Many thanks in advance.

Vietnam Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Andrew Angel
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: Navy and White
The Bird on a unicycle logo has been moved down and to the left of the airline name. Note the extra blue band at the top of the bag as well. Different from other Vietnam 2003 bags because "Made in Vietnam Aviation Printing Company" is printed inside the gusset.

Brussels Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Rainer Schwartz
Print or Image Color: White, Orange
Background / Bag Color: Blue
The bag says:
THIS PAPER BAG CAN BE USED AS:
  • a little bin so you can help keep this airplane clean
  • a piece of paper to doodle on or to practice your origami skills
  • wrapping paper should you have forgotten to wrap the presents for your loved ones
  • a sick bag when you're not felling 100%

National Airlines

Received From: Steven Halley
Print or Image Color: Orange and Black
Background / Bag Color: White
Sometime in the 70's, National Airlines seemed to have finally got it. They downsized the bag into a rather sharp looking utilitarian device. $5 on eBay.

Sabena (ELAG)

Received From: Tom Leist
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White and Blue
This bag harkens back to a time when logos were as simple as the company name with an oval around it -- kind of like DuPont. Bag also has a nifty old ELAG logo on the bottom which seems to warn "No Barfing".

Northwest Orient

Approximate Vintage: 1973
Received From: Steven Halley
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Red "Hysteresis" logo. eBay $5.

Turkish Airlines

Received From: Dean Eckert
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: Blue and White
THY on the bottom of the bag stands for Turk Hava Yollari.

TWA

Approximate Vintage: 1980
Received From: Jo Boyd
Print or Image Color: Black and Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Eerily similar to the 1979 bag, but notice how the TWA logo has changed from that bag. The prices have gone up too. It's hard to remember a time when it cost $1.79 for a roll of film developing. That's excellent! I guess the catch is that you have to develop 126 film. The bag hearkens bag to a time when multi-pupose was king. Not only will this bag hold vomit, but also serves as a film mailer and a gin rummy scorecard. Truly an inspiration.

Sic-Sac

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Adam Iversen
Background / Bag Color: Blue
After 30 years of no changes to this bag, the fine people of Allied Aviation LLC decide to change the back of the envelope. The address is moved to the center and the address changes. I guess the old warehouse was getting pretty decrepit after all these years

Envelope type mechanism. It's compact, but hard to get at. This bag differs from the other one of this vintage because the company's zip code changed to 73147 from 73107.

Alaska Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2014
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
This bag is identical to the 2013 model except LK plastics (see bottom) decided to register its trademark.

Air France

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Mike Shannon
Print or Image Color: Blue, Red
Background / Bag Color: White
FSC is apparently the new big dog in barf bags as their logo now appears on the bottom of the bag.

South African Airways

Received From: Paul Diamond
Print or Image Color: Gold
Background / Bag Color: White
Big bag with pterydactyl logo, probably modeled after the Joust video game.

Hapag-Lloyd Flug

Received From: Richard David Glueck
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Hapag-Lloyd's earlier entry when it was just Flug (air service).

Has acs and all sorts of addresses in the gusset

China Eastern

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Bree Goldstein
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
China Eastern continues its march towards minimizing their bag design. What used to be big ostentatious images and text is getting smaller all the time.

If you look in the gusset, this bag says alibaba.com, unlike other seemingly identical China Eastern bags.

Delta Air Lines

Received From: Paul Diamond
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
You know that this bag is old because it refers to a "stewardess". Like the other minimalist big logo bag, but the bottom of this bag says Kard-O-Pak instead of Chase. No thumb tab on this bag! And by the way, the bag is textured, quite a nice touch.

Eastern Airlines

Received From: Paul S Boyer
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White and Blue
Blue Floral. Date unknown. Went out of business several years ago

Eastern Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1983
Received From: Dean Eckert
Print or Image Color: Brown
Background / Bag Color: White and Brown
Identical to the ubiquitous 1983 bag, but the bottom says "Chase".

Egypt Air

Approximate Vintage: 1985
Received From: Dean Eckert
Print or Image Color: Red and White
Background / Bag Color: White
Has pretty white rose on a red bag, but the bottom of this bag shows the ELAG manufacturer logo.

Eastern Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1984
Received From: Peter Brown
Print or Image Color: Brown
Background / Bag Color: White
I thought for sure I had seen every type of Brown Flowery Eastern Airlines bag but I was wrong. While the design is identical to all the other bags, this one has a thumb tab and a pointy bottom instead of a flat one.

Cyprus Airways

Received From: Thomas Köhler
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Wow, it's the smiling sun. An excellent bag for airsick hippies.

American Airlines

Received From: Dean Eckert
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Old logo. Actually, no logo at all. This is exactly like the other old American Airlines bag except this one has no thumb tab.
