OK, Bag Monster is a moronic name, but Monster has become a catch-all phrase for "Hey, this will help you do something" This section will help you find the bags you're looking for (like you're really looking for them). Leaving everything blank will retrieve a list of all bags, however that may cause the page to load slowly.

Spike & Mike's Lunch Bag

Approximate Vintage: 1994
Received From: Steven J. Sattler
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: White
From Spike & Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation. This one appears to be from 1994 and has a phone number for recorded information. I have no idea what sort of recorded info about this bag, but I encourage you to call the number.

Spill Your Guts Out! (Colossal Hole)

Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
This is a really weird bag that asserts that the music on the album will make you sick. The weird part about it is that they call it a "record" that is "pressed" instead of CD or Album or MP3, yet there is a website for a vinyl release.

Anyway, the bag says

POSITIVELY THE MOST HORRIFYING RECORD EVER PRESSED
SPILL YOUR GUTS OUT!

DUE TO THE GRAPHIC NATURE OF THIS VINYL RELEASE, INTENSE VOMITING MAY OCCUR WHILE LISTENING TO...

COLOSSAL hOLE EP

HORROR PAIN GORE DEATH PRODUCTIONS AND COFFINS ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR HEALTH PROBLEMS THAT MAY ARISE WHILE ENTERING THE COLOSSAL HOLE... NO SAVIOUR CAN RESCUE YOU FROM THE HELLBRINGER!

Spirit Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Noa Miller
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: White
This is a great bag from a super-discount airline where everything costs. I'm not only surprised that they printed anything on the bag, but that they have a (free) bag at all. When the donor of this bag asked for a 2nd one, they gave her a plain white one, so I guess they do have a mind towards cost savings. Anyway, the bag says the following

spirit

LESS MONEY. MORE GO.

IN CASE OF

EMERGENCY

We know the feeling. You've saved a bunch of

money on this Spirit flight, and now you're

thinking of all the cash you've lost being swindled

by other airlines. It's enough to make you sick.

We totally get it. But this bag is meant as a last

resort. If you want to toss your cookies in front of

a hudred of your closest friends, go for it - slow

clap for you. But if you think you can make it to

the lavatory to violently upend your insides in

relative priacy, you know, that'd be cool of you.

Spring Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2012
Received From: Rainer Schwartz
Print or Image Color: Green
Background / Bag Color: White, Green
This bag has the stubby airplane from the China Eastern bags and its logo is taken from the adapter that lets you play 45s.

Springbok Atlas

Received From: Christoph Vogel
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Rik Anderson, Mike Prophet, and Christian Funch identified this bag as from a South African motor tour company called (surprise) Springbok Atlas.

SPS Laboratoires

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
This enigmatic bag appears to come from a French Bio-medical Company. The bag has 5 languages on it, English, French, Spanish, German and Italian but Bagophilist Paul Mundy notes that the language on the bottom of the bag is Dutch instead of Italian.

The bag is apparently for Brown Sterilised Steam, whatever that is.

Sri Lankan Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2012
Received From: Wolfgang Lüthje
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue, White
Sri Lankan changes it's color scheme from red to blue. Still have the flying slug logo.

Sriwijaya Air

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Jens-Peter Taufmann
Print or Image Color: Red, Gold
Background / Bag Color: Red, White
OK topologists, can you draw the item on the front of this bag without lifting your pen from the paper? (Hint: No) I also like the word "menjaga", which in some cultures would be pronouced as "Men -- Ha Ha"

Sriwijaya Air

Approximate Vintage: 2006
Received From: Gerd Clemens
Print or Image Color: White, Gold
Background / Bag Color: Red
Sriwijaya Air is Your Flying Partner although this partner will make you pay full price for your ticket. This bag contains 28 wacky logos.

Sriwijaya Air

Approximate Vintage: 2014
Received From: Michele Cherry
Print or Image Color: Gold, Navy, White
Background / Bag Color: White, Navy
A bold update to the Sriwijaya red bags. This bag still has the somewhat ornate but complex logo. But now they claim that they are "Your Flying Partner"

Stag Weekend Kit

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Collette Searle
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
This ridiculous item came as part of a Stag Weekend Kit comprised of enormous leopard skin briefs, an inflatable ball and chain, and a barf bag of course. The bag has 3 simple instructions.
  1. Open bag with both hands at the non-sealed end.
  2. Project into interior of receptacle whilst ensuring all clothing such as ties are clear of secondary over spill.
  3. Repeat when necessary.

Standing Sideways (Burton Snowboards)

Approximate Vintage: 2011
Received From: Colin Bane
Print or Image Color: Black, Red
Background / Bag Color: White, Blue
Awesome, high quality bag put out by Burton Snowboards as a promotional item for their snowboarding DVD "Standing Sideways". DVDs were distributed inside the bags. The bag says, "ATTENTION! IN CASE OF SICK AIRNESS INDUCE VIEWING" Also: "Contents: Full-length movie in DVD format. May include excessive spins, sick air, or gratuitous stoke."

Star Air

Received From: Paul Mundy
Print or Image Color: Purple
Background / Bag Color: Purple and White
Star Air? What's the widget all about? The bag also tells you to "Tear of here", yet there is no reason to tear anything (no tear strip). All tearing would accomplish is making the bag leaky.

Star Airlines

Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
This French bag even has the stars in the folds. However, with their funky font, you might mistake this for Stan Airlines. Shouldn't they have called it Etoile Airlines?

Star Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2007
Received From: Gerhard Lang
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Navy
This French bag no longer has the stars in the folds. It is substantially the same as their earlier offering except I guess they wanted to use more ink than the reverse-video earlier offering.

Star Market

Approximate Vintage: 1984
Background / Bag Color: Blue
It REALLY looks like a barf bag, but just contained cookies. Doug Barry says, "Then, after you eat them, you can toss your cookies!"

Star Peru

Approximate Vintage: 2012
Received From: Bob Grove
Print or Image Color: Red, Yellow, Gray
Background / Bag Color: Red, White Plastic
Great Peruvian bag complete with website, reservation number and quasar.

Starflyer

Received From: Toshiaki Anan
Print or Image Color: Gray
Background / Bag Color: White
Excellent logo reminiscent of the trim design on a 1966 Ford LTD.

Starfox 64

Approximate Vintage: 1997
Print or Image Color: Many
Background / Bag Color: White
"Expect Turbulence" quips this excellent bag. The bag was used to announce a video game from Nintendo and was distributed along with a press release to the gaming media. Unfortunately, the lame press release was full of dates, but didn't display the year. Do you know what year this happened?

Anonymous gamer 'edotdj' to the rescue, claiming that: "The game was actually released in summer of July 97. The bag itself most likely originated from E3 (Electronics Entertainment Expo) of 96 or 97." I swear I have the best site visitors.

Steam Packet Company (The)

Received From: Christian Annyas
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
A pretty quaint name for a modern Isle of Man catamaran/ferry company. If you thought Manx Airlines' logo looked like Franco Lentini, you ain't seen nothing yet! This bag shows Franco on a Japanese sun.
