Plane on bag seems to be making a U-turn. Differs from 1990 version only by the Chinese characters on the lower portion of the bag.

Chosonminhang

Received From: Mike Roselle
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Tan
Great bag for your refuses (sic)! Wish I knew what bag it is that is great for your refuses. An anonymous tipster says the airline is Korean and is pronounced 'jo sun min hang'. And guess what, Christian Annyas verifies that the airline name is Chosonminhang! In Christian's words, "This name means Korean Airline. It's renamed as Air Koryo in 1993. So this mystery is solved." Duh, I feel dumb now.

Chunder Bag

Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Green, Black
Background / Bag Color: White
The Chunder Bag is one of the few commercial bags available for sale. You can buy them on their website

The copy on the bag is pretty entertaining for a barf bag. On the front, it says: Chunder Bag ™
Contain the mess, until you feel your best!
On the back it says:

Instructions: Gently open bag at handles and "take care of business". Use the zipper seal to close the bag when you are done. The adhesive at the top of the bag is your secondar closure to help protect against spillage. Discard immediately. Keeping this bag upright is advised.

Suggested Uses: This chunder Bag can be utilized for many purposes...ranging from disgusting to "not-so-disgusting". Here are some ideas we came up with: puke; dog poo; clean diapers and then use it for those soiled number; feminine products; toiletries that may leak; soiled clothing. Cimber Air

Approximate Vintage: 1999
Received From: David Harris
All the cheesiness of Debonair, with only text, no logo.

City Airways

Approximate Vintage: 2014
Received From: Xusheng Chen
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White, Blue
Basic bag with an abstract Seattle Seahawks logo covering City Airways text. I have no idea what city they are referring to, but they're based out of Bangkok so maybe that's the one.

CityBird

Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Green
Background / Bag Color: White
Ah yes, the Flying Dream. Is that for when you're in bed sleeping, dream that you can fly, and suddenly wake up nauseous? This defunct Belgian air sickness bag is eerily reminiscent of DutchBird.

Class of Nuke 'Em High

Approximate Vintage: 1986
Received From: Andrew Chrysostomou
Print or Image Color: Green
Background / Bag Color: White
Well I don't really even know if this is a barf bag or not. It was advertised as such, so I snapped it up. The Class of Nuke 'Em High is a humor/gore movie that was released in 1986 about a school where people turn into mutants. So it stands to reason that they may have tried to promote it with a barf bag, but who really knows? The bag exhorts you to 'Be Prepared" for the movie, as if you're a boy scout or something.

Clean Up Waste Bag

Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Green, White
Background / Bag Color: White, Green
I have no idea where this bag is used, but it's from the UK and has a cross on it, indicating it's medical somehow.

Click

Approximate Vintage: 2007
Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Navy, Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
This bag displays the word "aaaghh...!" on it three times in big letters. However, I think they are trying to relate a fascination with flying rather than the stomach upset which comes to mind.

Clickair

Approximate Vintage: 2012
Received From: Janusz Tichoniuk
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Blue
Cool bluish-teal bag that says "vuela inteligente" which I think means "smart vagina".

Club Air

Approximate Vintage: 2006
Received From: Cedrick Gauthier-Lacognata
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
This bag does a yeoman's job of transforming line art into a beautiful logo. I don't understand Italian, so it appears that the bag tells you to take the bag to the bathroom when flying, and then tells you to 'giugno' your Bologne sandwich into the bag (if you wre born in '89).

CNWA (China Northwest Airlines)

Received From: Christoph Vogel
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Identical to CNWA Orange version except that there is no closing mechanism. Is that a flying mermaid?

YL Tan gives a resounding "no". It's Chinese fairy! The long trailing tail-like things are the ends of her long skirt and scarf.

CNWA (China Northwest Airlines)

Approximate Vintage: 1997
Received From: Linda Phillips
Print or Image Color: Blue and Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Feature the 'Earth as a Bulkie Roll' logo.

According to bag donor David Labarge, "I have a distinct memory of the CNWA jet, which was a Russian-built aircraft. It had a lime green and dark brown interior (enough to make one puke) and as the passengers deplaned, the cabin crew folded all the seatbacks down like lawn chairs. It was surreal."

Although this bag looks identical to the other 'Earth as a Bulkie Roll' bag, this one has no flat bottom.
