MEA (Middle East Airlines)

Received From: Andrew Angel
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Tiny cedar tree plays down the Lebanese origin of this bag.

Meatshits

Received From: Scott Cunningham
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: White
This is a rare find I purchased on eBay. From the mid-90s, it's Grindcore Music (whatever that is). It has a pornographic picture of Jesus on it. The bag says

MEATSHITS
VOMIT BAG

Mega Maldives Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Rainer Schwartz
Print or Image Color: Blue, Red, Purple
Background / Bag Color: White
A really original, artistic logo on this bag. I wonder if they settled on Mega Maldives because of the alliteration or because it sounds so much better than Pico Maldives, Giga Maldives or Femto Maldives.

Mentors and Accused Concert

Approximate Vintage: 2006
Received From: Whitman Turner
Print or Image Color: Green
Background / Bag Color: Brown
On October 28th, 2006, the following bands played a concert at Studio 7 in Seattle: The Mentors, The Accused, Dead Evil Kids, and Mechanical Devil Dolls. These bags featuring Squishy the not-so-lovable monster who sez, "Use Barf Bag, Not Floor".

Meridiana

Approximate Vintage: 1994
Received From: Christoph Vogel
Print or Image Color: Black and Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
Minimalism reigns on this ho-hum bag.

Meridiana

Received From: Roger MacRae
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
In keeping with the fine tradition of Italian bags, there are directions and information on the bottom of the bag -- probably not the first place you'd look for them -- unless you're Italian, I guess.

Meridiana

Received From: Roger MacRae
Print or Image Color: Orange, Black, Purple
Background / Bag Color: White
Oooh, colorful. The printing on the bottom is bold indeed!

Meridiana

Approximate Vintage: 2001
Received From: Nicola Ottolini
Print or Image Color: White and Orange
Background / Bag Color: Purple
Nice color again. Looks somewhat like the cut grass on a purple baseball diamond (if you're high).

Meridiana

Approximate Vintage: 2012
Received From: Wolfgang Lüthje
Print or Image Color: Black, Blue, Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
Newer version of Meridiana sporting same old logo except bigger. Now they are sponsored by Valontan which is some kind of motion sickness medicine. If you read the advertisement carefully, Valontan apparently comes as a suppository -- yay!

Merpati

Received From: Mari van Rijbroek
Print or Image Color: White and Aqua
Background / Bag Color: White and Aqua
The smallest bag next to Garuda. The Merpati logo looks a little like abstract whale baleen.

Merpati

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Paul Mundy
Print or Image Color: Orange and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White and Blue
Interestingly, the bag tells you to "get the feeling", although a more friendly message would be to "avoid the feeling". Bag displays 6 orange cilia.

Merpati

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Paul Mundy
Print or Image Color: Orange and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White and Blue
Apparently, Merpati executives felt it was better if you didn't "Get the Feeling", as they did on the previous incantation of this bag.

Merpati

Approximate Vintage: 2007
Received From: Gerhard Lang
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: White
Merpati goes seriously generic AND plastic. I can't tell you any more about the bag, but they give you an info number if you'd like to call to find out more.

Merpati

Approximate Vintage: 2013
Received From: Rainer Schwartz
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: Orange, White
Lots of orange birds fly all over this bag. I was going to count them all, but even a barfbag collector has a limit to how much time they'll waste.

Metallic Blue Generic

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Artur Garriga
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Blue
Cool metallic blue, like a sports car. Manufactured by Rigaplast in Spain, the instructions are comprehensive to the point of showing how to hold your hand daintily during every step of the process.

Metallic Green Generic

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Artur Garriga
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Green
I love this bag because it uses my favorite term for motion sickness: Emesis. Manufactured by Rigaplast in Spain, the instructions are comprehensive to the point of showing how to hold your hand daintily during every step of the process.

Mexicana

Received From: Robert Masumura
Print or Image Color: Black and Red
Background / Bag Color: White
This flimsy bag is bolstered by a heavy duty plastic handle, as if you're going to use it to bring a treat to Grandma.

Print or Image Color: Black and Red

I pity the poor soul who had to use this if they were ill. Although it's tough to see on the scan, there is an enormous handhold cut out of the bag for your hand, so you can clutch the contents as though it were a six-pack. There is no obvious way to seal this bag, and there is no flat bottom which might allow you to put it on a level surface. Using this bag is barely better than barfing in your hands. Identical to this bag but the black rectangle is on the bottom left instead of bottom right.

This is kind of the best of the bunch for the red Mexicana bags. It's plastic and has tabs to seal in the freshness.
