Hot Shots 2

Approximate Vintage: 1993
Received From: Jörg Gerle
Print or Image Color: Red, Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Yet another cheap sticker on a bag, but I'm not too upset since the word Kotzbeutel (Spitting Bag) appears on this German version of the Hot Shots Part Deux movie promotional item.

Hover Craft

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Received From: Petr Manda
Print or Image Color: White and Blue
Background / Bag Color: Blue and White
This Japanese hovercraft has an interesting recycle symbol. It's polyethylene, but it's hard to determine whether it's high or low density. Nice italics on company name.

Hover Lloyd

Received From: Dean Eckert
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Although I can only imagine that a hovercraft is a water borne vehicle, Hover Lloyd apparently employed stewardesses. So tell me, is this an airline or a ship line?

Hover Speed

Received From: Jo Boyd
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
This is almost identical to the current Hover Speed bag, except the horizontal laminar lines don't go to the end of the bag, like they do in the current version.

Hover Speed

Received From: Graham
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Perhaps they meant to call it 'Hoover Speed'? The speed at which you Hoover down the food.

I had originally listed this as one of the Air Sickness Bags, but Thomas Payne pointed out that, "The Hover Speed bag should be in the sea-sickness section, not air. They operate hover-craft services from Dover to Calais (Uk to France), and believe me, a lot of those bags get used, especially when the sea is rough! Its so bumpy you cant drink a cup of tea without spilling it down yourself!

Hover Craft guru Lamar Bordelon says, "The Hovercraft is the funny looking thing that floats on a cushion of air just above the surface of either land or water. The ones carrying people and cars between England and Europe have two large motor-driven fans which blow the air under the craft, and another two fans which propel it along. There is a huge neoprene skirt around the outer edges of the craft to hold the air cushion in as the craft lifts and floats above the surface. (As you might imagine, it needs fairly smooth surfaces to travel over, which is why it didn't get much acceptance as a mode of transportation by the military). You can find a lot about them by going straight to HoverSpeed at here".

HTF

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Received From: Maria Mirsch
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
Collector Thomas Homer Goetz alerted me to, and explained this bag. Here is his explanation:

On September 1, 2004 there were protests in Sweden and UK against Ryanair's personalpoltics. The demonstrations were a part of an international campaign with Ryanair to reach (better) basic conditions for transportation workers. The swedish transportation workers union HTF got printed and distributed special printed barfbags on the occasion of the demonstration.

I read an article about that in the German newspaper Sueddeutsche, and one with a picture of the bag in the swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. There are also pictures of the bag and informations (in swedish) on the HTF website.

Human Centipede 2

Approximate Vintage: 2011
Received From: M Trebilcock
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: White
Great bag from the not so great movie, The Human Centipede 2. The bag was signed in person by Laurence R. Harvey, at the Mercury Cinema, Adelaide, South Australia.

The bag says

VOMIT BAG
[For use during moments of upset]
If vomit is anticipated, keep bag ready for use. Please dispose of correctly after use. One use only.
"Sick"
THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE PART 2
[FULL SEQUENCE]

Humane Society

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Gray
The cruel greedy bastards in Canada are planning to slaughter 975,000 baby seals this year. In response, the Humane Society issued this bag as part of its response to the cruel travesty.

Hummingbird

Approximate Vintage: 2001
Received From: Matthias Koch
Print or Image Color: Green
Background / Bag Color: White
Aww, cute. Nice image for an airline -- lithe, supple, and darts around the sky.

Hunnu Air

Approximate Vintage: 2018
Received From: Wolfgang Lüthje
Print or Image Color: Pink, White
Background / Bag Color: White, Pink
Hunnu Air considers itself the "Wings of Mongolia". With a fleet of only 3 planes, that's quite a claim.

Hurl Bag!

Approximate Vintage: 1992
Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Green, Black
Background / Bag Color: White
I have no idea what the origin of this bag is, but it probably has something to do with Wayne's World, not only because it's a Hurl bag, but also because the bottom says "Party Time" and "Excellent"

Hurl Bag!

Approximate Vintage: 1992
Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Pink, Black
Background / Bag Color: White
I have no idea what the origin of this bag is, but it probably has something to do with Wayne's World, not only because it's a Hurl bag, but also because the bottom says "Party Time" and "Excellent". Exactly the same as the other Hurl Bag, except this one is pink, not green.

Hurl! / Code Monkeys

Approximate Vintage: 2008
Received From: Renata Legaux
Print or Image Color: Multi-color
Background / Bag Color: White
This bag was distributed at the ComicCon 2008 convention where the G4 Netword decided to promote it's new program "Hurl!" as well as the 2nd season of Code Monkeys (a Comedy of 8-bit Projectiles). Note: Though this is listed under Movies, it should be listed under TV.

Huss-Verlag

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Received From: Christian Annyas
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: Blue and White
Excelllent bag complete with an "I'm with stupid" arrow.

I Feel The Urge To Vomit

Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Black, Pink
Background / Bag Color: White
I don't know the background behind this bag but it appears to be a generic that has taken traction inside Ubers. It features a sick panda and says it's a "Vomit / Garbage collection bag"

On the back
Features
  • This can be used for waste as well
  • Waterproof
  • Degradable materials
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Disposal safe
Instructions
  1. Tear off the lid
  2. Vomit directly into the bag
  3. Seal and dispose of the bag in a waste container

IAT

Received From: Matthias Koch
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
I spend a lot of effort to seek out and expose dumb looking logos, even if what I'm seeing isn't there, but IAT's logo shows thought, creativity, and effort. The eagle head and the company name all mesh together well within the framework of the airplane of which they are part. Nice work, nameless designer.

Iberia

Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Wow, a huge monstrosity entirely in Spanish with lots of helpful instructions, such as "Y coloquese a un lade en el piso", which in English means "Have a colonoscopy on the side of the floor".

Iberia

Received From: L. Jay Labe
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: Off-White
Just a simple bag with a simple logo, the IB and a crown. Has a small red block on the back (not pictured).

Iberia

Received From: Ben Burgess
Print or Image Color: Red, Gold, Navy
Background / Bag Color: Tan
Finally, a "bag with a higher stability and better form"! I wonder who Pat Hermebol is? (I know, I know. Hermebol is a company that holds the patent).

Iberia

Received From: Christoph Vogel
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Probably not the best condition you'll find one of these bags in, but it does show the design. If you actually follow the bag's instructions, you'll find it extremely difficult to make that first fold, since it's so close to the top of the bag.
